Feeding program in Chile

We are excited to welcome a new feeding program partner! In the town of Temuco in Chile, Pastor Ruth heard a call from God to serve food to those in her community who can’t provide for themselves. So, she started a feeding program for children, homeless people, and the vulnerable population. Pastor Ruth worked with volunteers from her church to buy groceries and prepare meals to serve the people in their community. There was great joy as many people (do we know about how many?) would gather in the church’s big dining area.

It was a sad day when they were forced to close their dining area due to the pandemic. Still, Pastor Ruth remained faithful to her call. She and her volunteers started packing the meals and delivering them along with grocery bags.

Thanks to your generous giving, we are coming alongside Pastor Ruth and her team in this critical time when her food donations are decreasing to help her continue the feeding program.

Pastor Ruth says she wants her church to be known for the love and compassion they have for people, so she and her volunteers are especially excited and blessed to be partnering with us as they have seen how the hot packed meals and grocery bags are softening hearts as people who previously rejected them are now seeing the grace and compassion of Jesus being extended through the food.

Thank you for your faithful support. By giving to others, we share the joy and hope that lives in us and we are advancing the gospel with each meal served.
